A visitor from United States posted Mon August 17, 2009:One of the most inspiring aircraft that I've ever seen. I wish that more examples of this craft could have been preserved. The photo of these beautiful examples waiting to be chopped is so very sad. I am not a pilot, but a very big fan. TJ

A visitor from - posted Tue May 6, 2008:The composition is great. As someone else said, Beech "bought" them back, but they were mostly leased anyway to control them, all fifty-odd of them made. Their downfall was their cost, which was right up entry level Learjet and Citation territory. But as the same person here said, an owner met Burt Rutan. But said owner bought three remaining hulls somehow for parts. Great aircraft, and I feel sorry for those who never got to see one take off and land!
A visitor from United States posted Tue March 11, 2008:They were all bought up cause the compay didnt want to provide support for them. they weren't marketed as well as they could have been and as a result the sales suffered. the whole fleet was pretty much bought back from owners except for some that held out. one owner met burt rutan himslef, and scaled composites said that they would fix it if the owner ever broke it.
A visitor from United States posted Mon December 10, 2007:Its almost too hard to look at... if only beech had strapped some pilatus style turbo props or even jets to this plane we might not be seeing this picture now... instead of crappin them i propose turning them into mobile homes and create the starship airpark... something beside turning these into scrap!
A visitor from United States posted Tue July 3, 2007:History in the making was captured in this photo using a good presentation that has eye appeal
A visitor from United States posted Sun August 6, 2006:Those things are so cool. They should have made them jet/props, they would have been too efficient. so sad...
A visitor from Belgium posted Thu June 15, 2006:Why did they throw away all those starships? Was there a disign flaw that forced them to be grounded?
A visitor from United States posted Mon May 15, 2006:Dont throw those away! I'll take a few!!
A visitor from Greece posted Fri August 26, 2005:What a glorious and, at the same time, terribly sad sight!
