G-NEWT (cn D-1168) The original V-tail Ralph Harmon Bonanza design of 1945 entered production in 1947 and production continues to this day (albeit with modifications) after an unbelievable sixty years. This one was built in that first year and has just qualified for its bus pass. Previously registered G-APVW, it is now owned by John Shakespeare Allison of nearby Filkins and kept here at Kemble. It has a 205hp Continental E-185-11. (400D, Sigma 80-400 anti-shake & fluid-head tripod)
