As a kid i always admired the stagger wing. they are a rare bird now and mostly seen at airshows and flyins. in the early eighties out home backed up to meadow lark airport in huntington beach ca. it was around dusk and a staggerwing landed and taxied to the office. I ran and got my cammera and jumped the fense. this stagger wing was now back at the run up area. i was on the opposite side of the runway. this pilot posed the stagger wing swinging it 360 drgrees stopping at 6 or 7 points for me to get pictures. the pilot then went on to take off. was about 50 ft when he passed me. i waved and he gave me a wing waggle. he made my evening.
