J-5232 (cn 1308/SFD002) This hornet made a very hard turn just in front of the audience. Look at the colors of the condense that has formed over his wings.

A visitor from Mexico posted Fri January 13, 2006:
This is an excellent picture! It has a very high quality definition and the plane was captured just right in the moment when it was at MACH 1.0, crossing through the sound barrier. Also, the fighter was snapped from a very good angle.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri January 13, 2006:
Very nice shot about a high-speed aircraft. The fog behind tells that this bird is really pushing it to the limit.

Perfect dynamic & close framing, artistic yet still keeping documentary value - subtle lighting, good control of contrejour - speed impression with low shutter speed yet perfectly sharp

Absolutely awesome capture. The only thing I would like to see are the wingtips. ;)

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sun November 13, 2005:
What a fantastic shot, to capture the speed and movement of the Hornet in a split second. Conveying the speed is difficult in a photograph but the condensation achieves this. If I only took one shot of this quality in my life I would consider this an achievement well done.

A visitor from United States posted Wed November 9, 2005:
This is incredible! I agree that this is the best action shot on A.net! All the effects work together for an incredible view! Great job Voortmans!
