Remark Photographer
S85 The two-seat Sopwith 1½ Strutter biplane was so-named because its steel-tube fuselage-mounted wing struts were only half the length of the outboard ones. It was the first British aircraft to employ a forward-firing machine gun with an interrupter gear (capable of firing through the propeller without shotting the blade). Preserved in the fabulous Belgique Musée Royal de l'Armée et d'Histoire Militaire.
