G-BFMI (cn 17632/11) Luton was a stronghold of the Bristol Britannias in the late 1970s and this is a typical apron scene. From left to right are G-BFMI, EI-BCI of Eurafric, G-AOVS of Redcoat, a Boeing 720 of Monarch, EI-BAA of Aer Turas and poking out of the hangar was G-BCBB, a Boeing 720 of Monarch that went on lease to Air Cyprus the following day.

This picture certainly does demonstrate a typical scene at Luton during the 1970's. To me it is nostalgic as I recall the Monarch 720'S and the Bristol Britannia's. Both aircraft types are classic's and in addition the photograther almost managed to get the full lenghts of all five aircraft into shot which is unusual.
