Built in 1959 this great 707 was Qantas first Jet VH-EBA City Of Melbourne. Also CF-PWV with Pacific Western. For the last seven years it has been stored at Southend and its outlook was looking poor, but as the 29th 707 off the production line and Qantas first Jet it was saved from the axe man and is seen in this shot during work to get it back in the air for the long flight back to Australia and I hope in its V-Jet c/s!
