The picture is very nice but what i realy dont get is the fuel pods, they should add two more engines

A visitor from - posted Sat June 13, 2009:
Yes, this is the Boeing B747 in the Top Gear test track, once towed by Jeremy Clarkson by a tractor and once used by James May in the TV show "James May's 20th Century".

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat June 13, 2009:
If they didn't put the fuel pod there, the engine pylons would look odd. I guess that's why.

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 13, 2009:
Movie makers are creative but not too realistic. Who would put a fuel pod on an engine pylon on a commercial jet?

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 13, 2009:
Why are the engines like that?

A visitor from - posted Sat June 13, 2009:
To all car-lovers: Dunsfold is the place where Top Gear shooting is taking place, and the plane is adjacent to the airfield which serves as the Top Gear Track. Just in case you wondered.

Great shot of the movie classic! This is also the location of British comedy/motoring show Top Gear!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat June 13, 2009:
Ah the good old top gear 747...

A visitor from Poland posted Sat June 13, 2009:
Is this the 747 you can see on Top Gear? I'd like to see 2 of those pods under each wing giving 8 engines. Very nice photo
