Remark Photographer
Aerial View of Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport (maintenance hangars), taken shortly after take-off in a Virgin Blue Boeing 737-800 VH-VOB, heading for Canberra. Some ex-Ansett Boeing 767-200s (and BAe 146 aircraft) are visible, still awaiting buyers after the collapse of Ansett in Sep 2001. At rear is the Tenix 'Strarch' Hangar. From 1990 to 1992, this hangar (then owned by Hawker de Havilland) was used by Israel Aircraft Industries to modify four RAAF Boeing 707s to Tanker Configuration.
