A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed September 8, 2010: Anything with a Spitfire in it should get extra stars. The older Spits with the better curves (the pre-Griffin models, in the main) just adds class to a photograph and does credit to whomever raises a camera to them. For a killing machine, the Spitfire was also a thing of beauty, right down to the Merlin's engine note, gutsy with a touch of honey. Beautiful machine in every way. Goering: "What do you need to win this battle against the British?" Galland: "A squadron of Spitfires." Top marks for the 1943 monochroming treatment, take the colours away and you focus on the shapes all the more. PS. I'll let you in on a little secret. I like Spitfires.
