N787ZA (cn 40695/6) The sixth 787 is seen here resting on Boeing's ramp as we're heading to BFI today. The wing has an amazing shape... looks even like a glider! Dedicated to my friends Gregoire Richier and Olivier Le Saint who I shared this flight with.

They should make a 787G (Glider) ;)

I see this every couple days, but I can't take pictures while I'm giving flight instruction! Great shot!
I think I'll post my shots of the 787 landing.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Sat November 7, 2009:
The Engines are so awesome!
So Big!

Rolls Royce!

A visitor from Ireland posted Fri September 4, 2009:
It doesn't look a bit like the 767 but I'd say it's based on it. Great shot!

A visitor from - posted Thu September 3, 2009:
Awesome shot! cant wait till LOT gets the first eastern european deliveries. =]

A visitor from Kuwait posted Thu September 3, 2009:
Wow! Such a beautiful airplane. Those folks who say it looks like a 767 obviously don't look at airplanes very much. The 787 is gorgeous and I can't wait to see her fly!

A visitor from Poland posted Wed September 2, 2009:
Beautiful aircraft. I hope it will be in LOT Polish Airlines livery as soon as possible.

Wat an amazing aircraft....!!!!!!!!

"Just look at the lines of this bird. If the A380 is proving to be more economical than previously thought, I believe we're going to have great surprises with the 787!"
Why? Do you think the wings are different to what the designers expected?

A visitor from Canada posted Mon August 31, 2009:
Those wings are far too sexy. Can't wait to see her in flight flexing those wings. Those horizontal stabilizers look cool too. It does look a little stubby though, an improved 767 perhaps. And what's up with the colour scheme? From the over the top "dreamliner" to the non existance? Don't they have any artistic people left in Boeing? Anyways, that is secondary, get it flying please.

A visitor from France posted Mon August 31, 2009:
Nice bird but I really don't like this paint scheme. So classic...

A visitor from - posted Mon August 31, 2009:
Why is that box hanging from the engine pylon???

A visitor from - posted Sun August 30, 2009:
I'm an Airbus fan. But I want this bird to fly. Anyway, good shot. And I love those wings and tail section - very sexy.

A visitor from United States posted Fri August 28, 2009:
This plane looks so sleek, too bad it hasn`t flown yet

A visitor from Malaysia posted Fri August 28, 2009:
OMG!! where are the engines? : D

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri August 28, 2009:
Very nice plane...I love the shape of the wings but sadly the engines are missing and this new paintjob is not very cool as well. I love the old Dreamliner livery, like one of the AB's 737NG had for a while.
Nevertheless nice picture though.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Fri August 28, 2009:
Nice wings.

A visitor from - posted Fri August 28, 2009:
Apart from the wing I'm not too fussed about the 787 design, it reminds me too much of a 767 which, in my opinion, is the dullest of all the Boeing designs. I think the main 'wow' factor is the oversized engines, and when they're missing it really doesn't do the 787 any favours.

Nice picture, but sad in the same way.. This is not the way I want to see this bird but yet this is all we will see for some time.. Planes are not made to be on the ground.. Hope the nightmare(liner) will soon become the dream it's meant to be..

A visitor from Germany posted Fri August 28, 2009:
We don't want you on the ground. Take Off!

A visitor from Belgium posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Pretty good shot, but I don't like the 787. It has an ugly nose, the wings can pass. But i've seen the first one in the factory itself and if you see it with the engines it's just like a giant embraer190/170(with those waves in the engine fuselage). But as I said a very nice shot, with some good action in it!

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
It actually looks elegant in this new Eurowhite livery!

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 27, 2009:
I cant wait to see this thing up close!!!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Simply amazing! The first real shot of the 787! Whether this is #1 or #3 it doesn't matter! Can't wait to see these in service!!

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Concur. This is in fact ZA-003. ZA-001, the first test plane, is currently in the paint hangar awaiting the structural modification needed for first flight. Cheers!

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
This aircraft is ZA003, third Boeing 787, not the first one. This is a first 787 in one perspective - first one not to carry Rolls Royce engines. ZA003 will use General Electric GEnx engines.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu August 27, 2009:
What a beautiful bird is she... I can't wait to see her in service.

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 27, 2009:

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Beautyfull, i can't wait to seeing!!!

A visitor from Germany posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Wonderful.
This ac looks...different, new, stylish. Looking forward seeing it in real!

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
This new white livery is quite dull. i liked the old dreamliner colors

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Well, I hope they don't try to fly it with those blocks on its wings!

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 27, 2009:
This is extremely misleading. The aircraft in this photo is actually Dreamliner #3, not #1. It has NOT received new colors and has NOT had the engines replaced. The 3rd frame has always been in this scheme and has never had engines installed. Suggest deletion until corrected despite a great shot.
Cheers!

A visitor from Germany posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Can this thing actually fly?

A visitor from - posted Thu August 27, 2009:
A lot of ladders there..

A visitor from Barbados posted Thu August 27, 2009:
Beautiful aircraft! I agree with the photographer, the wings look like those of a glider. Excellent shot, can't wait to see these beauties in the skies soon!
