The B747 has always been the icon of commercial travel. Being a true aviation enthusiast, I love and have always loved every aircraft equally. But theres that special spot for the 74. It just got better. The sexiest thing in the air. Long live the B747

The only thing 60's about this classic is it's perpetual good looks.Everything else is well and truly 21st century.

The mean machine.. A380 is no where close to the beauty of this massive beast.. true say this is the t-rex of all the aircrafts... love it..!! 5 stars

An old aircraft design in a new livery. We will see what the market will say about this aircraft.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Tue February 15, 2011:
The big bump and the engines i like.Beauty for ever. But i am not optimistic that airlines prefer it above the whale.congrats to boeing and its engineers for this icon.

A visitor from Australia posted Mon February 14, 2011:
The 747-8I and its predecessors are like the T-Rex. They are the coolest, meanest, most unstoppable thing the world has ever seen. Sure, they've since found bigger stuff; but no one cares. GO 747!!!! YEAH!!!

A visitor from United States posted Mon February 14, 2011:
If I was an airline CEO I would order the damn thing simply because its the best looking aircraft that man has ever built. As it turns out the 747-8 is not only hands down better looking than the A-380, but has newer engines, newer flight control systems, and possible a more efficent wing than the whale.

A visitor from - posted Mon February 14, 2011:
Hey Airlines order this plane! Your customers WANT to fly in it!!

A visitor from - posted Mon February 14, 2011:
I haven't felt this excited since riding a CX 747-400 in 1989 for the 1st time ever!!
Long live the 747!

This is an absolutely gorgeous airplane. I love the colors used on it as well. I'm sorry, but the A380 has nothing on this beauty!
