A visitor from United States posted Sun November 7, 2010:First.....Awesome.....simply Awesome!!!
A visitor from Netherlands posted Wed May 19, 2010:On the "Intercontinental", the passenger version of this plane, the upper deck will in fact be stretched, just like on the -300 & -400 for pax, only a little longer. These then are obviously the Freighter prototypes.
A visitor from Mexico posted Tue April 27, 2010:I love the 747-8
A visitor from Germany posted Sun February 7, 2010:Too bad I thought they also wanted to extent the upper deck! A rare picture though! Thx for sharing!
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri February 5, 2010:Didn't know the 800 was out! what happened to the 5/6/700's? I'll always love the 747, they look so nice! hope to see more of the 800! :D
A visitor from Netherlands posted Fri February 5, 2010:This is the result of the original no-compromise engineering investment established during the first 747 programme. Thanks to the foundation, you can be sure this plane will perform and still yield on the initial investment made over 40 years ago. Good job.
A visitor from - posted Sun January 24, 2010:We may have the A380 but still, nothing will beat the 747, the Queen of the Sky. Irfan, Malaysia
A visitor from United States posted Sun January 24, 2010:Nice shot Dave. I'm glad someone had an opportunity with some sunshine to take a picture of the new Queen of the skies. RC501 has been parked there for over a month now. Those 777 style flaps look near vertical on the inboard aft section. Awesome! Can't wait to hear GEnX's in surround sound going down the runway.
A visitor from - posted Sat January 23, 2010:Just because the bloated A380 is bigger, doesn't make it the queen of anything. :) As for the plane in this pic, you have to remember that this is Freighter version. It has a 13 ft. 4 inch plug forward of the wings. The passenger version of the 747-8 has this plug forward of that, making the upper deck even longer than a -400! Both 747-8 models also have a 5 foot plug aft of the wings making this one long bird!
A visitor from Australia posted Fri January 22, 2010:The 3rd 747-8 is nearly ready as well.
A visitor from France posted Fri January 22, 2010:Nice shoot Didn't know there is already 2 747-8 !
A visitor from - posted Fri January 22, 2010:Nice. Btw, nothing really new, the 747 is now 40 years old. The queen of the sky is now the A380.
A visitor from United States posted Thu January 21, 2010:I dont see any difference in the 400 and the 800 regarding size. large engines though...is it faster?
A visitor from Canada posted Thu January 21, 2010:Well, I guess it's so long to those beautiful triple-slotted flaps. They will be missed.
