The wingspan and engines look so much more impressive on this bird than they did on the older 747s. A gorgeous aircraft, no doubt!

How was it made ? unbelievable. From another chase plane ? and what is this small jet to the left, is it T-33/F-80 derivative ? Id never think they are still flying...

747 a name for grace, power, size, and tradition. this photo shows the grace of this new airplane, and i must say this plane looks so good!

The second deck on the passenger version of the 747-8 will be longer than it is on the -300 and -400 variants. The freighter versions of the 747 have much shorter top decks as you can see in the picture.

Very nice photo.i am waiting to see the pax edition, and of course a lot and lot 747 8 in service worldwide.
question, may be someone knows if the second deck of the pax eition will be the same as on -300 -400 or longer also?

Few understand how stringent certification is, it is a mountain of work. You do not just change things to refresh them; TCing new engines alone can take years. Besides, the wing is all new, and that is in effect an entirely new airplane.

The 747 family has never looked different in each of its generations. Yet, I still think it's one of the most beautiful jets out there today. The 747 needs no major facelift because it's one of a kind!

It looks so much nicer than the 400. boeing did a great job keeping the 747 alive. would like to see fedex buy this plane, good room for cargo!

Looks like a future Air Force One.

I love the photo, I think it's a great shot but I'm a little dissapointed with the plane, it doesn't look much different to a -100, nothing special about it.
