There is a reason why Boeing didn't introduce sidesticks like Airbus, because if they did so, they would say that Airbus was right for over 30 years and they where wrong and they can't do that. Furthermore There are not often HUDs in big airliners because they are able to land down to 75m RVR without a HUD and the only time they would need them is for T/O. Normal T/O minima is 125m and with a HUD you could have less, not many need this.

A visitor from Portugal posted Wed April 21, 2010: Although this is very futuristic i dont like it. it makes me remember a train's cockpit. i hope that in the future of aviation pilots dont become some kind of train drivers. the people that designed this cockpit got too worried about with the ergonomy and the looks. when they made the concorde they didnt give a damm about looks. its supposed to be a cockpit not a living room.
