This colour is better then the indstrial blueish grey in an average Airbus. But I concurr: bring back the beige dashboard!
Im curious to know, is any of the screens touchscreen???
I'm glad Boeing decided to stick with the yoke they have rather than switching to the stick control, like what Airbus has. Kudos!
The cockpit screens and colours!way better than the beige like the 747.
Bring back the Beige! ----787 Fanboy
The first thing I noticed about the new flight deck was the color scheme - the various shades of gray (especially the non-yellowish sheepskin) combined with the white trim. That's a soothing departure from prior setups, in my opinion
Now THAT's an office! | |
Nice cockpit,if klm really buys the 787 the crew is sitting comfy.
This pic is a dream, a gift. Thanks!
Something new | |
It's very comfortable working place... Nice
Can not see location of the cockpit speaker or if there are mini speakes in the headrest. will we still need a rubberband for the headset?
Awesome picture. | |
Do you reckon they can get TV on those MFD's? Nice capture mate, and a beautiful cockpit.
Did any of you guys and gals notice that the FMC's are in the lower MFD looks good
Nice shot and amazing shot, what else to expect from the Dreamliner, than a dream cockpit!
Next the whole cockpit will be touch screen
A very nice working place!
Yeah the beige looks better for sure, i dunno how i feel about this cockpit :S
The only thing I don't like about this cockpit is that it is very plasticky the whole center console is covered in plastic it doesn't have the touch of the 757
WOW...so sleek...is the 787 the first Boeing to have tiller on both sides?
Pulling together the efforts of many countries and through the suite of the state-of-the-art technologies ever yields a fantastic outcome - this round-787, the one to wait for - A350)
Amazing cockpit! | |
The cockpit of the jet I'll be a check airman on one day :)
Nice picture. Anibody knows if it make non-stop flight (ETOPS) between USA and UK?
I miss the beige which to me gives a feeling of warmth.
Beautiful flight deck! Its funny because at last a heavy airliner has the big widescreen displays that the small GA planes have had for some time - the big Garmins you see in the new Cessnas for example.
Nice angle of view! And it appears that the Capt. is walking around Farnborough without his sun glasses :-)
Cool | |
Meh, my first time of seeing the 787 cockpit, but I'm not really as bowled over/ wowed like when I first saw Andrew Hunt's pic of the A380 cockpit. This just looks ordinary to me. Looovvvveeee the Heads Up Display though, makes it more futuristic, but hate the Boeing 787 sticker, I hope it's only for test airplane purposes.
Very nice cockpit! | |
Very clean and beautiful cockpit!
Now thats a simply wonderful flightdeck indeed !
OHH ! I can almost smell all that new airplane smell !! oM5
THIS is THE photo I have been waiting so long!!! ;)
The way a cockpit should look!
For me it looks more like a business jet cocpit, than a Boeing's, but I might say that it really looks nice. At last no more yellow color...
It's cool to see all the different cockpits now. If you were to line up a whole bunch of cockpit photos from the older days up until now, You would be able to spot so many differences. Nice Picture!
A great shot of a great flight deck. Worth many, many stars.
Love the HUD. | |
Beautiful plane, beautiful cockpit!!!
They are now installing an epaper application for the approach guide
I presume those seats centralise about their respective control columns once a posterior is in place otherwise things could get interesting, not to mention sore!
Sweet!Oh, they still use oldshool telephones in there besides the new technique :)
Im not a real fan of the 787 but I have to say that is one awesome looking cockpit !!!
Nice photo | |
Pretty small standby AH indeed, but honestly most a/c nowadays it is a bit of a joke. Also noted they removed the turning knob from the coms, it is just push buttons now. Might be easier and quicker to work with even, you punch-in the new freq, like you use the scratch pad on the fmc.
Sweet looking flight deck. To the chap worried about Captain Murphy, don't forget the magnetic compass at the top of the window. So between that and the back up AI, you have pitch, yaw and roll. Along with an ability to set engine power from the power levers, you have everything you need to fly the aircraft.
Here's us simmers hoping PMDG or one of those better FSX developers would make a 787 like this for us to take command!
WOW super new nice office for the next 40 years!! Greetings from AMS and it was nice to have you over here!
Love the placard above the Captains PFD, 'Beoing787', just incase you forgot while flying!! ;-)
What a tiny gear lever; putting the gear up is like flicking a lightswitch. Beautiful cockpit, but I guess Boeing is done with beige!
So, if Capt. Murphy zaps all the magic, is the only back-up instrument that little AI (with ASI and altitude info included I assume) above the gear lever? That should be fun!
Gotta love Boeing cockpits!
Wow!! What an utterly beautiful cockpit!! At least Boeing have maintained pleasing aesthetics inside the cockpit but the externally the cockpit windows still look a bit strange and cartoonish to me....not slick like the 757, 767 and 777.
