After doing its second day of engine tests, FTV1 returns back to the hangar for some rest. Unfortunatly, First Flight was delayed today as well.

FTV1 looks sleek and slightly mean, as if ready to leap to the air. Doesn't the nose have a Comet/Caravelle feel to it? Very elegant.

Reminds me of Dornier Do-728. But then again, with a few notable exeptions like A380 and B747-8 they all do seem very much alike - long tube with pointy ends, low wings with underhung engines, clasic swept tail. Where is the imagination and creativity that went into all those other 'C'-aircraft: Concorde, Connie, Caravelle?

Great capture of a great looking jet. Bombardier has built this jet with OBVIOUS potential to be stretched based on the ground clearance and engine choice. Those HUGE fans on that little plane will make for some 'homesick angel' takeoffs although I'm sure they will be de-tuned for the shorter bodies. The 'ER' range for this jet will be out of this world if needed. Imagine the business jet potential. All around winner here!
