Is it just me or is the US flag on the tail really mirrored?

The U.S. flag is supposed to be 'mirrored' on the starboard/right side of the aircraft, so that it appears as if it were seen on the right side of a boat.

I remember this airline being in kansas city(mci) a long time ago and the staff there was the best.now days the airlines now just want the money,not like back when Braniff was.the airline back then was into customer service,now its get the customers cash.

My father worked for this airline and he and most of his co-workers called this plane "Fat Albert". Braniff was number 1 in customer service, hands down!
