Ex 45-49151. This a plane for aerial combat and ground attack. It first flew in 1941 and was used in World War II from 1943. Around 15683 units were built. The Thunderbolts flew more than half a million war missions, launching more than 132 000 tons of bombs. This one flew 93 missions of war under the command of 2nd Lieutenant aviator José Rebelo Melo de Vasconcellos of the First Fighter Group, during the Brazilian campaign of Italy. The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) used these aircraft from 1944 to 1958.
