Departing RW08. This livery always looked good on the 737-200.

This is a magnificent picture of a Boeing 737 400 series with the original livery. The aircraft was flown by Thomson Holidays during the 1970s and is seen here in all it's glory. This was the aircraft used on my VERY first holiday to Palma, Mallorca and it holds VERY special memories for me from 1976.

I loved the Britannia livery in the early 1980s, specifically with just the word "Britannia" and not "Britannia Airways" as per earlier version. As a kid, I remember seeing Britannia aircraft, just like this one, while on a holiday in Corfu in 1982. As a side note, this aircraft sadly crashed in Buenos Aires in 1999 with a significant loss of life.
