I've seen something else almost like this, except that was a Qantas 747-438ER from Sydney to Johannesburg and it was over Antarctica.

Yeah i have had the view of Greenland twice. First time flying LHR to YYC and back, second time LHR to YVR and back. Its such an awesome landscape to look at!!

I was treated with a view of Greenland two years ago on my way to SFO from LHR. What an amazing and remote part of the world. Second to Antarctica. I see you didn't have as many clouds this time. Excellent photo.

Absolutely cracking photo, Peter! You've caught not only a magnificent landscape down below but also a certain clarity making me feel as if I was there witnessing this sight live. It's also interesting as it appears we can see some motion from the 'cones' inside the engines - outstanding!

Oh, I miss this airline... but a very fulfilling shot!
