G-BSST (cn 002/13520) The nose gear of the Britsh prototype Concorde from 1969, still looking modern today. Making her maiden test flight on 09/04/1969 from Filton to Fairford by test pilot Brian Trubshaw, she pioneered supersonic passenger travel. She flew in to Yeovilton for preservation at the FAAM on 04/03/1976, opening to the public on 26/07/1976. Powered by 4 Bristol Siddeley Olympus engines with reheat giving a range of 2205miles and top speed of M2.2. Exhibited in Hall 4 (Canon 50D + 24-105 F/4 L)
