"Holyhead Bay". Seen under tow to her gate. First flight was February 18, 1975. Delivery date was March 19, 1975. Built as TriStar 1, cvt'd to TriStar 100 in December 1989. Other serials - G-BBAJ with British Awys as "The Elizabeth Harkins Rose", Caledonian Awys as "Loch Rannoch" (renamed from British Airtours), & JMC Air (renamed from Caledonian Awys). Stored at AUH (Abu-Dhabi) in November 1999, & was broken-up in September 2004. British Caledonian Airways DC-10-30 is G-DCIO, & the 747 is G-NIGB.

I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but this photo is a very unique situation, with a DC-10 in the background and the L-1011 in front. What a fantastic view! This shot enables the viewer to see the one recognizable difference between the two: the tail engines. One is molded into the tail; the other is a distinct part of the upper tail. Great shot!
