A new view on O.R.Tambo! An ATR72 of Comair, followed by a classic UM 737 and two BA Jumbos (G-BNLF, G-CIVO), Virgin Atlantic A340-600 G-VSSH and a Swiss tail. SAA's 737-800 ZS-SJT is just taxiing out.

Nice photo, awesome to see the BA livery on an ATR again :P. Interesting fact: This aircraft was formerly with Air New Zealand Link and Atlantic Southeast Airlines.

At first glance I thought the Air Zimbabwe aircraft was a 727!

I am confused what would a BA ATR be doing at JNB??

The BA ATR, is operated by Comair (which operates in southern Africa) which is a BA subsidiary, and has permission from BA to use their livery. You may also see BA 737 operating in South Africa, that is also Comair.

The ATR is in BA livery because Commair franchises the BA brand for their domestic operations -- they also have 737s in BA livery...

Great photo of OR Tambo. The ATR is for Comair - a South African airline with a BA franchise in SA. Not too sure where else in the world BA offers franchises.

The ATR is of Comair aviation. They use the BA brand locally for domestic routes within SA.

Clever catch of BA & Comair!

The aircraft belongs to Comair of South Africa. They are a franchise partner of British Airways and have been operating under the BA brand for 20 years or so. The company also owns South Africa's first low cost carrier Kulula.com
