G-LGND (cn 340B-169) British Airways franchise Loganair operates thirteen 340s on routes throughout Scotland and Ireland. This one (built in 1989) is seen arriving on Glasgow’s Runway 05 on a Sunday evening. The 340 started off as a joint venture between Saab and Fairchild, but the American company withdrew leaving Saab to make something of a success of it and eventually to develop it into the bigger Saab 2000.
