Great picture - but I'm a little confused. Do the tails just hang over the highway like that at LHR?

Glad you like the shot! Two things to note about this picture. The first is that a long telephoto compresses the image so it looks like the Concorde tails are over the cars... in fact they are some 10m ahead of the cars at the front.

The second is that the cars are all stationary... this is a staff car park!

"Where have all the Concordes gone? Gone to museums, everyone,
when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn"

This is a sad photograph, at least one can still see them in museums!

How beautiful and unusual to see 3 Concorde tails in such a row. Also sad that this sight that will never be seen again. Reminds me of my flight to LHR aboard G-BOAD, truly amazing aircraft and a wonderful shot!!!

At least they weren't scrapped. Too many iconic aircraft suffer that fate. Concorde will at least live on in museums for younger generations to experience.

G-BOAD is now at the side of USS INTREPID a musuem ship at the side of the Hudson River in New York very close where the plane came down on the Hudson caused by an bird strike, this museum is brilliant got all sorts of aircraft on the ship well worth a visit and a good admission price too....

I love the cars right under neath the tails! The colors of the tails are gorgeous and it brings back memories of the Concorde. It is a shame that aircraft doesn't fly anymore!
