The old British Airways 'Super-Club' seats used to be the widest in the air. Seen in their final days here at the Long Haul Engineering Base, Hatton Cross.

Good view of the sealed off overwing exits on the 747-136.

Okay, clearly there is something odd with this image. Where are doors 3L and 3R?! If you look at a side view of BA's 747-136s you'll note that odd window sequence on the right of this image is just ahead of 3L but there is no 3L door in this image. Is it covered up? Can anyone shed any light on the missing doors, would they not be needed because there were less PAX due to the uber wide seats and the 2-2-2 instead of the 3-4-3 config? Still it's a tad odd, no?

In answer to the first comment, BA 747s have the 3L/3R doors closed up. They earned special dispensation from the CAA/FAA through proving that evacuation through the remaining 8 doors was satisfactory.
