A visitor from United States posted Sun August 16, 2009:Its like the 747 is posing for you!
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri March 27, 2009:A little bit of gentle wing down landing technique for a crosswind, all planned and executed!
A visitor from Germany posted Sun October 19, 2008:Lucky timing for such event! Did it make a go around?
A visitor from Qatar posted Mon July 2, 2007:Deffently there was a heavy cross wind made first right gear touch the ground or it is fogged in. Wisam Hashim
A visitor from Australia posted Thu December 14, 2006:Beautiful photo. This is why I love the 47, so majestic, even if its a slightly less than perfect landing. Well done.
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri September 8, 2006:I agree. The landing looks superb. In fact, smoother landings often produce more smoke (unless of course you absolutely hammer it in!) Ultimately only one person can tell if the landing was good given the conditions, and that's the handling pilot.
A visitor from United States posted Mon August 21, 2006:Great photo of a crosswind landing, 5 stars. Like said before this is a textbook crosswind landing, may have been a hard touchdown, but thats what they all should look like. Better than to side-load the airplane and possibly snap the gear off. Lots of avaition buffs on here that don't know the proper procedure for crosswind landings, it's sad.
A visitor from South Africa posted Tue August 1, 2006:Great just like me landing Manual on Flight Sim but i will be half way down rwy Great Shot got at right moment well done
A visitor from Denmark posted Tue March 14, 2006:The pic was taken just at the right moment and shows a situation most of us have experienced but few of us seen from the outside. If you look carefully, you can almost feel the wobble. Good caption, too. Imagine the pressure on the plane's right side shock absorbers...
A visitor from Switzerland posted Sat March 11, 2006:Nice one!
A visitor from Canada posted Sun February 26, 2006:A beautiful picture for a beautiful piece of engineering.

A visitor from Canada posted Mon January 23, 2006:I like how the 747`s landing gear touch the ground......3 of them are down. This show how powerful 1 set of gear can be on a 747!^_^

A visitor from Barbados posted Sat November 12, 2005:Well it's not the best of landings but truly spectacular to see a 744 like this during landing
A visitor from United States posted Thu November 10, 2005:No mistake here, the captain is simply correcting for a crosswind coming from the right, although judging by the amount of tire smoke it may have been a little hard, excellent picture!
A visitor from Ecuador posted Thu November 10, 2005:A wonderful cross wing landing!!
A visitor from United States posted Thu November 10, 2005:Must have been pretty windy out there on 33L!
A visitor from United States posted Thu November 10, 2005:How'd you know it was the captain? :) Remember, the best of us botch the landings sometimes. :)
A visitor from Kuwait posted Wed November 9, 2005:Very nice timing of the picture, wind gust for sure.
A visitor from France posted Wed November 9, 2005:Great action photo. The wings still seem to provide enough lift, I think the landing probably wasn't that hard as the picture suggests at first sight. but spectacular for sure. (gp)
A visitor from United States posted Wed November 9, 2005:There are some screwed up landings going on here - do we need to get our pilots checked? Awesome shot!
A visitor from Portugal posted Wed November 9, 2005:Nice Pic, but don't blame the captain, do keep in mind that he has to correct for crosswind!!!
A visitor from United States posted Wed November 9, 2005:Really like the timing of the picture. Great capture.
