Nice catch! | |
Stunning shot!!! Look how close the no. 1 engine is to the ground!!! :o
Excellent photo the windsock gives you a great sense of what is actually going on outside, To the visiter from Germany, everyone make mistakes, the Important thing is that we learn from them, believe me I have seen many a rougher landing than that.
Excellent photo and very bad pilot handling of the crosswind situation, obviously there is a strong crosswind from the right and by looking on the plane attitude and position of the rudder the pilot made a completely opposite flight control inputs, in this situation the aircraft should be with a right bank and rudder deflection to the left not as it is, lucky they))))worst than student pilot performance, this guy shouldn't be on the the flight deck of any plane, flying passengers, what a shame for British airways, one of the greatest ( NOT ) (((((
Ron, your photos are amazing...looking through all of them I have yet to find one that doesn't tickle my pickle...
Great timing Ron , Excellent shot !
Speedbird making a crosswind landing. This photographer is so good he captured the wind sock in the background, which shows it to be a crosswind landing. This might be somewhat "normal" for the 747-400. The roughest landing I was ever in was a 747-400 landing in Chicago in stormy weather.
Absolutely amazing. I love the composition of this shot! The visitor is right, not a typical crosswind landing. This particular landing must have been a hard one.
Incredible | |
Brilliant pic and hats of the pilot for getting it right.
30 ...20.....10.....5...4..3.2.1...inches ..inches! inches man inches!!!!1
This goes to show just how strong them landing gears are. Its amazing how the airframe is able to take the stress of take-offs and landings like these. The 747 rules! f14dtomcat
Doubtful this is a typical crosswind landing. I would guess it was a hard landing, not typical at all. Great capture!
I was in this plane! I was right at the wing! I had some business to do in London and Boston. Later on I took a flight to LA and from there to PEK. It was a pretty scary experience trust me! Everything else though on BA was outstanding!
It's a typical crosswind landing people....
WOW. This is a fantastic definition of a crosswind landing with the excessive use of the rudder with the correction using yaw. 6 stars
Well, this is another reason to put the engines beneth the wing. They should put a little metal beam on the bottom of the engines to avoid colission with the ground.
Fantastic Shot Ron! Nice East Boston houses in the back. PC for today. Oliver
Wild photo. Could have been a very expensive landing. Thankfully all went well.
Wow Ron! Great moment captured. The windsock near #1 illustrates the crosswind and I like the rudder deflection as well. -Matt
Cmon BA! You are better than that!
I'm sure the passengers won't forget it either! :-) Tony
Nice catch! Engines number 1 & 2 are so close to the ground. Looks scary to me ;)
