If there were one aircraft for representing all the aircrafts, it would be the 747. If there was one picture for representing the 747, it would be this picture...many Thanks, it's in my collection.

Im an airbus 319 pilot and i can tell all of you something the boeing 747 was the thing that caught my eyes when i was a kid and that is why today i a pilot and some day ill try go get the 120,000 dollars to lear to fly this cuttie

I am a 13 year old boy that is inspired by this beautiful 747 jumbo jet. This pic makes me want to be in that plane with them. Nice pic Michael well done.

The composition and clarity of the shot are simply superb. It captures the majesty of the jumbo and the excitement of flight... I've been in awe of this aircraft since I first flew on it in 1975. Thanks for this.

Five star shot, but this occupant of pedant's corner would like to point out that LHR isn't "Heathrow International Airport", it's simply "Heathrow Airport" - while even the smallest US airport (Columbus, Charleston SC et al) bost the word "international" in their names, it's not a British tradition and none of our airports are "international". I guess given that we're such a small country, it's assumed.

This is one sweet photo. It is just taken at the right time and the lighting is just perfect. It shows the sheer size of this aircraft and nice way it's slowly lifting off.
