Very unusual to capture short finals from slightly above - and of course especially a 747. I would love to know where the shot was taken from.

I would love playing football there, although I would not spend much attention to the football match. ;-)

Shots like these are shot from either a light aircraft or a helicopter. Nice work Sam!

Fantastic Sam, simply fantastic. Not only that, you used the word 'football' instead of soccer! Full marks :)

Now seriously, how could you concentrate on the game with Jumbos going right over your head?! I always wonder how these fabulous LAX pics are taken; do they really allow other aircraft to fly over that close to landing traffic?

The 747 is unmatched! Unique shot from above. How do you obtain clearance to fly this close? Hate to be that white truck under the front landing gear. He is getting flattened!

That there is the city of Inglewood. It may either be Inglewood High, or Animo High school. BTW great pic!

Nice shot! Like the angle. It's all about location. I think I'll add this one to my drawings. Don't know about those guys but i see this birdie passying by, nothing else matters.

What a great picture.. I live near EHRD (Rotterdam Airport) and my soccer club is right under the flightpath. I always looked up during the matches.. I couldn't concentrate on the game. but that was with Fokker 50's and Boeing 737's! If there were 747s I couldn't concentrate at all!

I for one can contribute here, too. Living in the Jordaan in Amsterdam for three years aircraft would always come pretty much right over the next block when the wind was strong and (south)westerly, and in such a way that I had an ace view, often even being able to read the regs with my naked eyes. That would be anything approaching AMS so Bizzjets and Embraers to Jumbo's... And it didn't help my studying results, I can confirm!
Also I once played a soccer tournament in Duivendrecht on a day when aircraft were coming over our heads, I remember a 77W from Emirates. But I managed to keep my focus. Funnily enough it is that same approach for 09/27 that you can actually also see from the Amsterdam Arena when sitting in the southern half of the stadium, as I know firsthand, too. I looked up after every 2 mins of play to watch the next one! :)
