During descend into LHR on BA008 from Tokyo Narita after 11 hours and 31 minutes in the air (still five more minutes to go to touchdown). Flying the Lambourne Star to intercept the ILS for rwy 27L and the Speedbird is just breaking out of the clouds over the London Docklands area. Note Tower Bridge just visible above the wing.

Sorry to say this, but the STAR has nothing to do with the Approach which is linked to the kind of instrument procedure for the specified runway. The STAR is a Standard (Terminal) Arrival Route, thus not necessarily linked to the approach procedure.
Not wanting to appear "nitpicking" but things should be commented correctly
