G-ARVM (cn 815) How 'VM' made its entrance at the Silver Jubilee Air Display. I have since been told the Capt. nearly lost his job over this. How low can you get ?

I was 12 at the time and saw it live, it was so low you could see the grass being pushed by the engines, fantastic sight and sound, great aircraft.
I have been to several airshows and i always remember this flypast. Incredible

So close to the ground, full flaps, no landingsgear out, and a great silhouet. I love the horizontal stab. on top of the vertical. I thought only the Fokker F-100 had it. This one is great too.

The VC-10 was one of the most graceful airliners to fly. These photos capture the aircraft at its most spectacular and dynamic.
