The MiG-15 (NATO code 'Fagot') was developed by the USSR in the late 1940s and became the standard jet fighter for over a decade. Powered by the Klimov VK-1 engine, a unauthorised copy of the Rolls-Royce Nene turbojet engine. The MiG-15UTI variant was a two-seat dual-control trainer. Preserved at the Voennoistoricheski Muzej (Military History Museum) in central Sofia.
