Great to see this top-notch shot actually comes from Bulgaria and shows a bulgarian aircraft; not too often do we see here shots from SOF/LBSF let alone such creative artwork that made it to Photographers' Choice. I've flown that same aircraft several times already and it seems LZ-BOP is slowly becoming my favorite Bulgaria Air plane :) Keep up the good work Ogi, I suppose the new lengthy 27/09 runway gives a lot of opportunities for such amazing shots.

Excellent and Amazing photograph! I love photography as well and I have been wondering how this was taken.. My guess might be possible 2 pictures taken..one to get the jet and one to get the stars, then some post processing work. Also guessing a large flash right as it went over your head - Awesome! I'm going to have to try such sometime, but pretty sure mine won't be as Good as this!

Amazing, I tried this. only I dont have a powerfull flash. It's an exposure of unknown time. then when it's overhead a remote flash on it! That's how to light up the aircraft. Amazing.

Superb photo. I'm guessing that the camera was on a tripod and the shutter was open for about 2 or 3 seconds so the sequential strobes from the approach lights provided most of the lighting on the towers and the underside of the fuselage.

Great!
Anonymous

Great photo! basics are easy: camera on tripod, shutter open 2-3 seconds, let the approach strobes provide your lighting.

Two pictures? Two or Three seconds exposure? Dont think so friends! This looks more like a more than 30 seconds exposure. And a single photo.
You'll need a tripod a remote to click the shutter and hold it for 50 seconds. Then use a big flash when it's overhead and after the flash, let go the shutter button. oops, the magician told the trick.
