A visitor from Canada posted Wed September 28, 2011: The aircraft was repaired (new vertical stab and rudder) in Sydney by Douglas, flew back to YVR and flew revenue service for a couple of weeks with the stab and rudder painted with primer only before maintenance planning was able to schedule it in for final paint & logo.

A visitor from - posted Fri April 9, 2010: To the previous commentor, it must have been more than a "snapping sound" when the 727 took the tip of the vertical stabilizer of that cp jet. Agreed, however, I might have lost my "lunch" in a far worse way than throwing up.
A visitor from Canada posted Sat August 18, 2007: I could not imagine what it would be like to have been a passenger on that plane, and having the 727 roar overhead and hear the snapping sound of the vertical stabilizer breaking. I would probably have need to change my underwear
