I love the subject matter, of course. The Tupolev TU-104 variants had a frightful look, owing to their cold war era design borrowed from the TU-16 "Badger" bomber. But Soviet airliners of the period commanded attention from western observers notwithstanding their seemingly unorthodox appearance. While I am very pleased to see this pioneer jet airliner in particular has been deemed worthy of preservation, the photo itself appears to be a bit stretched, judging by the elliptical appearance of the nose wheel tires and windows.
Such a pretty looking bird. They really knew how to design planes in those days. Makes today's aircraft look rather boring don't you think?. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. Big B. UK.
Nostalgic photo, great aircraft in very good condition, dificult to see in our days, not a common sight, thank you, the photo is just beautiful. Greetings from Colombia.
I like classical russian planes !This plane looks very well, but,in fact is in very poor condition. Interior is practically destroyed and cockpit equipments are missing.
Looks so futuristic! wish I could see it fly!
Beside the Tu-134, the 707 and the 777 this is ,in my opinion ,the most beautiful airliner. Sadly these don't fly anymore.
