Love it, that fixture on the turbine is an engine-intake vorticity-dissipater. it prevents rocks and other foreign debris that engine may ingest while it is running. its also an application apart of the "gravel kitted" aircraft that is mandatory, if you're gonna operate on "unapproved" and remote strips. Nice shot Jason and 5ive *stars!!!

Nice detail shot, though the JT8D is a low-bypass turbofan, not a turbojet.
