Great example of telescopic compression. The Cessna is plenty far away, but the use of telescopic lens compresses background with foreground causing the illusion of the 172 being right up against the heavy.

From what I can gather from Google Earth, the Cessna is short of 06 on G and the 747 is landing long behind it. The runway isn't visible because it is at a slightly higher elevation.

As I look at this more, I wonder if the 747 is the foreground and the 172 is behind it (relative to the photographer). Am I seeing that correctly or are my eyes tricking me?

One engine of the Boeing 747 equals the size of our lil baby Cessna...

I love watching airplanes takeoff and land, but I think this is a little close for comfort!

When 172 was hit by a 744F, it can be considered as a bird strike.

Its kind of scary because it looks like the 747 is going to hit the small little plane

Lima x-ray two eight mike, hold short runway two-four for the next 12 minutes due to heavy 74 landing.

Size matters. Nobody will ever convince me that it wouldn't. ;) If I had been in the Cessna and would see the 744 coming into my direction, I think I would ruin my pants. Pretty impressiv but scary.

I think the 172 weights about a piece of the 747's flap!

LUX is one of the busiest cargo airports and it has a lot of Cessnas and Piper... You see that daily, but perfectly captured in this case!

Well. That's normal in LUX. You are very close to the action. Everytime I fly in LUX there's a big bird landing or departing ahead
