DC-3 flown by John Boyes and Clive Simpson into Bentiu, Central Sudan in 1977 or 78. While taxiing out they got the aircraft bogged down in the mud. By the time it was unstuck it was too dark to leave and the pilots had to spend the night. That night it started to rain and didn't stop for 2 days! They had to be evacuated by helicopter, and it was 3 months before the aircraft was retrieved.

Spectacular views of aircraft "stuck" on ground. In most situations aircraft are severly damaged when aircraft overrun or skid off runway.
