A visitor from Canada posted Tue November 6, 2007: Just a blind guess...given that this is about a 10000ft runway, the pilots may have been taking off with de-rated thrust...meaning less than full power. Obviously this plane was heavily loaded, but I can't think of any good reason why the full 10000ft would have been used!

Sorry to disappoint this person but they don't know what they are talking about! Using almost 10,000ft to get airborne is not what I would call a well calculated V1!!
