B-HIH (cn 23120/596) The first "silver bullet" B747 cargo of Cathay Pacific has produced at the Xiamen Taeco! Its silver body looks so gorgeous and make me very exciting when I take this photo. CX, well done! [Canon 350D+EF-S18-55mm]

The engine is still the old RB211!

A visitor from Canada posted Sat May 13, 2006:
It does sort of remind me of the little fling Air Canada had with the no paint, however this looks much better but not as nice as JALs. Great photo though!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat May 13, 2006:
Could it be that this -200 got new engines?! they doesn´t look like the old ones. but a nice shot indeed. never saw such a shiny oldie.

A visitor from United States posted Sat May 13, 2006:
Their saving money on repainting also....with fuel prices the way they are right now...can't blame 'em!

Shinny bird, makes me remind me of JAL's 747 cargo planes. great shot

A visitor from Malaysia posted Sat May 13, 2006:
Nice pic..thanks fr the shot..bt honestly..the logo on the vertical stabilizer does not fit the shinny body.Hoping to get a glimpse of her in PEN.

Lovely, shiny old lady!

A visitor from Philippines posted Sat May 13, 2006:
I'm not a big fan of bare metal liveries, but very nice pic anyway. The plane itself needs a bit more buffing to bring out the best shine though. :)

Very nice livery. I would love to see this siver bullet livery on their 747-400F :-)

A visitor from Mexico posted Sat May 13, 2006:
I guess they took all the paint off so the plane could have less weight. T.B.

Nice pic. Reminds me of the JALcargo 744s.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Fri May 12, 2006:
Bare Metal doesn't fit CX's s/c IMO... nice shot though :)

A visitor from Namibia posted Fri May 12, 2006:
It does not look nice to me, though nice plane.

A visitor from Canada posted Fri May 12, 2006:
Great shot, but you can tell the plane used to be painted. It's not as shinny as, say a JAL cargo 747 ... kind of like AC's little experiment. just my thoughts.

A visitor from Denmark posted Fri May 12, 2006:
Don't get too excited my friend. Have a look at JAL's cargo silver bullets. Now that's shiny. But I agree it's Cathay's are nice...

A visitor from Spain posted Fri May 12, 2006:
Relax man, take it easy. It's just an unpainted old B747. But good picture anyways!
