N986AR / 986 (cn 48426/468) I think it s no tire explosion, I have checked the following pictures. I assume this one was trying to enter the runway too fast which was the reason for the huge amount of smoke.

I'm a DC-10 driver and as you figured is true..the Capt. has entered the turn at too fast of a rate and speed resulting in scrubbing of the nose gear across the ground. Self critiquing and they would def. hear and feel this up in the cokpit!
