Because the student pilot is banking the plane to the left, the instructor inputs left rudder to keep the aircraft balance.
Note that the ball is in the centre.

Lovely lovely as a student pilot i wish my approaches were half as good great detail.. but why is the guy on the right seat putting in some left rudder?

I must say the visibility in the 172 is great!
I fly the C152 and it’s nowhere as good as this.
