Brought in 1955 to equip #2 Squadron of the Royal Ceylon Air Force (became the Sri Lanka Air Force in 1972), this aircraft was one of six. The very first fatal aircraft of the RyCAF was sister ship CS-403 in Trincomalee,Sri Lanka (Dec 1958). Four of them still survive at the museum with most of them in pristine condition like this one. They were active for 30 years with retirement in 1985. The SLAF museum is well worth a visit.
