Although the original Vampires had been withdrawn from service by 1971, the FACH bought a batch of 10 ex-RAF planes as lead-in trainers for their Hunters in 1972, amongst them XD614. It was re-registered as J-302, withdrawn from service in June 1977, and is seen here serving as a bombed-up gate-guard at Los Condores AB [Canon 7D + EF-S 10-22 mm f3.5-4.5 USM].
