B-6055 (cn 586) The main tyres were all blown and it had to be unloaded on the runway. Fortunately nobody hurt in this accident.

Better tires? They did exactly what they are supposed to do! If you use full braking on a big aircraft the brakes reach very high temperatures, which makes the fuseplugs melt, this assures the tires wont explode! An aborted takeoff close to V1 will almost always end up in what we see in this photo
