But one note for you: you probably forgot that russian 1st stealth fighter was MiG-1.44 (MFI) development of which started even in 1980's. Now Russia has a second 5th gen. fighter - Sukhoi T-50. And by the way: if to compare the appearances of the MiG-1.44 and J-20 you'll find many similarities. Yes, this one doesn't look like F-22 or T-50 but it look like a forgotten MiG-1.44 :) So China is the only 3rd county who "made" 2 types of the "5th gen fighters", after USA, after Russia. Plus here they are located very close to the CG, which means they must either have large deflection angles (-> low stealth) or its agility is limited quite badly. Anyway, looks more like a low penetration fighter-bomber to me... | |

I think this generation thing is something not to be taken too seriously since the definition pretty much depends on who you ask. Great picture never the less, really shows the rather unique configuration. To me it looks like they've taken some parts from F35, some T50 and added some to the mix :) | |
