A visitor from United States posted Tue November 29, 2005: About Mig 15's not being used in Vietnam, that's correct, they showed up in Korea in the early 50's, and were obsolete by the mid 60's.

Also, the black subjects in front of aircraft (are these rockets standing up on their tails?), and an all-red nose (#2 from the left).
A visitor from Canada posted Fri November 11, 2005: I do not belive MiG-15s were used in Vietnam. I think North Vietnam used a mixture of MiG-17s, 19s, and 21s. MiG-15s were used in the Korean War(!) in the early 1950s, though these appear to be two-seat trainers.
