This was my last time to take this B-18255 in Hong Kong. It crashed in the South China Sea on 25 May 2002. It is seen lining up runway 07R as CI612 back to Taipei

Dammit man... Just looked up the cause of the crash and it seems that it was a sort of similar thing to the JAL 747 flight 123, so a tailstrike back in the eighties, a faulty repair, and twenty years later metal fatigue causes the hull to break open...
